Paralyzed Man Healed

Over five years ago, I came to live at Strasbourg from the city of Lyon where I have my parents. I’ve just knew that I must come and for me it was like for our patriarch Abraham who went to a new destination. It was truly a faith’s move. It wasn’t easy at all at the moment to let everything (parents, friend, neighbourhood,…) behind and step into the unknown which for me was the Alsace region. But thank God I have something to celebrate today and even to sing about gained from this growth process.

I particularly remember when in July 2009, I was considering enrolling on ISOM (International School of Ministry) video courses. At that time the founder of the school, Dr Berin Gilfillan came to our church with a mission team for teaching sessions in various areas. On one of the evening sessions, Dr Berin taught about Mark chapter 2 verses 1 to 12 where Jesus, in front of the scholars who questionned His authority to pardon sins, asked :

Which is easier, to say to the paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven’, or to say ‘Get up, and take your mat and walk’ ?

At that evening, Dr Berin said that ISOM is meant for people who are willing to do both : Preaching the forgiveness of sins and Healing the sick.

Let me say to you that I am glad, seven days ago, to say that I have experienced a miracle by laying my hand on a paralyzed man in my city. With a friend (Jonathan Path), we went out to do street evangelism when we saw the paralyzed homeless man laying on the ground with his cane aside. We brought food to him and decided to pray for his leg. I helped him stood up and I command his leg in the Name of Jesus to be restored. He started walking and at the end he needed his cane no more. He was healed by the power of Jesus and started shouting Halleluyahs spontaneously for the Glory of God.

It wasn’t the first time I’ve prayed for a sick and experienced a healing but this time it was a paralyzed man. It reminded me that my faith for this was born when Dr Berin taught on this July 2009 evening. He surely impacted my life in a significant way and then by ISOM courses. May God bless him abundantly so he can continue to be a blessing globally for the body of Christ.

I just want to espress my gratitude here for our Lord who made it possible for this man to walk again. And of course, the most important thing is that, he gave his life to Jesus ! All Hail King Jesus ! All Hail Emmanuel !
