About
Ehonam Hamenou
Evangelist, founder of The Cross Love and co-founder of Salvation for the Nations. Based in Strasbourg, France, and called “from Dakar to Djibouti.”

My story
How I came to faith
I was born near Lomé, Togo, and grew up between Togo and France. At twelve I gave my life to Jesus in a Baptist church that was very active in evangelism.
My path was not easy: I survived a bomb attack, went through suicidal seasons, came close to death, and lived almost homeless after moving to France. In the middle of it all, the peace of God found me, and the revelation of His love on the cross transformed my faith and gave me the joy of knowing God and making Him known.
How I was called
From the start I carried a burden for the nations, but the call came in stages. In Lyon, on the banks of the Rhône, the Lord showed me the river from its source to its mouth and asked, “What are you doing with this life before it flows away?”
In March 2013, during a night of prayer in a forest near Strasbourg, the Holy Spirit directed me to evangelism and showed me a public square in my city. I went, preached despite the intimidation, and saw people give their lives to Jesus. Soon after, I trained at the CfaN School of Evangelism in Zurich, and in 2014, during forty days of fasting in the Alps, the Lord rooted this call in the sacrificial love of the cross (John 15:13).
In 2022, at the CfaN School of Evangelism in South Africa, He gave it a direction: “from Dakar to Djibouti,” across the Sahel and French-speaking Africa, to preach where Christ has not yet been named (Romans 15:20).
